So far the battery life has been excellent. I drained it to 3% and charged it three time like the directions said. It also came with all the necessary screwdrivers to easily install it. The Dell web site said I needed to send my laptop in and have them replace the battery. This saved me $100 and time without my laptop. Definitely worth it, and works great (I'm several weeks into using the new battery).

I was able to change the battery and get back my original battery life. The install difficulty was medium. The hardest part is doing undoing the clips that hold the laptop together without damaging any of them.

This battery was not only a perfect fit for my Dell Inspiron 5785 17" laptop, but the computer recognized it immediately and even called it a Dell battery. Thanks for a great replacement for my bad battery.

The battery is okay, but the seven year old computer had a growing number of problems that couldn't be fixed by replacing its old battery. The good news is, the new battery helped the computer run better for a while, so I was able to salvage some major files.
